When you make your reservation you must purchase at least one container. By doing this, you are pre-paying for the fruit that will fit in that container. You will receive your purchased container when you arrive at the Farm, and you are welcome to purchase more in the field or at the entry gate.

Online: $5/person, under 2 years old is free (this includes admission to the Farm Park)
At the Gate: $5/person, under 2 years old is free (this includes admission to the Farm Park)

Reservations:

• Picking will be by reservation.
• Walk-ins are welcome ONLY when there is availability, so check before you come!
• You must purchase a container when making your reservation, NO outside containers allowed.

Reservation Details: 
Sundays at 5:00 pm: online reservations will be available for the following Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Thursday at 5:00 pm: online reservations will be available for the following Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Our Pick Your Own policies are designed to help ensure a safe, enjoyable, and positive experience for all guests while protecting the farm, our crops, and the traditions that make Butler’s Orchard special. We appreciate your cooperation and support in helping us create a wonderful visit for every family who joins us.

• NO OUTSIDE CONTAINERS PERMITTED
  • Containers purchased from Butler’s Orchard are the only containers permitted for picking.
  • Please do not bring bags, buckets, bowls, or other containers into the fields.
  • Picking into hats, shirts, skirts, pockets, or other personal items is not permitted.

• PLEASE DO NOT EAT FREELY WHILE PICKING
  • A few samples are to be expected (how can you not!) but we ask that guests pay for what they pick.

• PLEASE DO NOT HEAP CONTAINERS
  • Berries and other fruit are very delicate and bruise easily. It’s best not to heap fruit.

• NO STROLLERS or WAGONS IN PICKING FIELDS OR ON TROLLEYS
  • Please park strollers and wagons at the trolly loading area.
  • If driving directly to the field, please leave them at the edge of the picking field.

• NO BAGS PERMITTED IN THE PICKING FIELDS
  • Backpacks, shopping bags, tote bags, coolers, etc. are not permitted in the picking areas.
  • Please leave these items in your vehicle or at home.
  • Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted and are subject to search

• NO PICNICKING IN THE PICKING FIELDS
  • We encourage guests to enjoy their picnic in the Farm Park near the playground, animals and restaurant.
  • Picnic supplies, including bags and coolers, are not permitted in the picking fields or on the trolleys.

• PLEASE DO NOT ENTER CLOSED FIELDS
  • Fields open for picking are clearly marked and typically staffed by Butler’s Orchard employees.

• NO PETS
  • Trained service animals only
  • Therapy, comfort, emotional support animals and pets are not permitted on the Farm.

Excellent Picking Conditions

• The fruit is abundant and easily found.
• It does not require much time to pick and fill a container.
• One does not have to cover much distance or area in the field to fill a container.
• There is more excellent quality fruit.
• It is the peak of the season.

Good Picking Conditions

• The fruit is abundant, but not as plentiful or easily found as when conditions are excellent.
• It takes a little longer to pick the same amount of fruit as compared to when conditions are excellent.
• You may have to cover more area to fill your container.
• The quality of the fruit is still very good.
• The season may be starting or winding down, or we may be in between the peak of a variety of a crop.

Scattered Picking Conditions

• There is not a lot of fruit and the crop might be considered “light”.
• It takes longer to pick and fill your container.
• You will have to work harder and cover more area to fill your container.
• The quality can be excellent and there will be pockets of great fruit, but it will take more effort.
• Picking can be scattered when the season is just beginning or when it is ending.
