Evening, Private Bonfire Sites and Hayrides

Looking for an outdoor option to get together with friends, family members or co-workers?  Then look no further!  A Private Bonfire Site at Butler’s Orchard is your answer!  You can even add a private tractor driven hayride under the stars over the rolling hills of our 300 acre farm.  You and your guests will then enjoy a picture-worthy crackling bonfire where you can enjoy roasting hot dogs and making s’mores!  Your group can socialize, enjoy the stars and the open night air at your own private space.

Each reservation starts with your own private Bonfire Site and goes from there.  You are able to choose from 4 options for your evening event.

(A maximum of 50 people per site reservation, if you have more than 50 people you must make an additional site reservation.)

$295 ($345 Peak*) – Private Bonfire Site for up to 25 People

Reservation includes a private Bonfire Site with 1 picnic table, a fire and enough firewood to burn for approximately 2 – 2 1/2  hours.  Our staff will set your fire and light it for you.  You are welcome to stay and enjoy your private site until 11:00 pm when the Farm closes.  Depending on how long you plan to stay, consider adding extra firewood to your reservation to insure your fire will last for your entire stay.  We ask that you plan to have your site clean and be ready to depart the Farm by 11:00 pm.  If you would like to stay past 11:00 pm extended time may be added to your reservation but MUST be arranged and paid for ahead of time.

Up to 25 people (under age 2 not included), additional people are $15/person, maximum 50 people/site reservation.

$395 ($445 Peak*) – Private Bonfire Site and a Hayride for up to 25 People

Reservation includes a private Bonfire Site with 1 picnic table, a crisp apple for each of your guests (seasonally), a fire and enough firewood to burn for approximately 2 – 2 1/2  hours.  Our staff will set your fire and light it for you when you return from your 30 minute private hayride. Your hayride is scheduled at the start of your reservation time – please plan for you and your guests to arrive on time or they will miss out on the hayride!   You are welcome to stay and enjoy your private site until 11:00 pm when the Farm closes.  Depending on how long you plan to stay, consider adding extra firewood to your reservation to insure your fire will last for your entire stay.  We ask that you plan to have your site clean and be ready to depart the Farm by 11:00 pm.  If you would like to stay past 11:00 pm, extended time may be added to your reservation but MUST be arranged and paid for ahead of time.

  • Smorpak (4 sticks, enough chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows for 9 s’mores) $15
  • Roasting Sticks (bundle of 10 wood sticks) $5/bundle
  • Apple Cider Donuts $14/Dozen
  • Fresh Apple Cider (available starting September 25th) $7/Gallon
  • Hot Dog Package (32 uncooked Hot Dogs and buns, 10 sticks, condiments, napkins) $85/package
  • Extra Firewood (your reservation includes enough wood for approximately 2 – 2 1/2 hours) $40/bundle
  • Extra Picnic Tables  $40/table
  • Electricity (limited availability, call the office to add) $40
  • Extended Hours past the 11:00 pm Farm closing time. Must be pre-arranged and paid for prior to your event, call the office to add $95/hour
  • You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages
  • Additional fire at same site $100 (for groups of less than 75 people)

Ingredients to make 9 s’mores including:
– 9 graham crackers (why not 10? Nabisco Honey Maid Grahams come in a pkg of 9 crackers only!)
– 10 premium milk chocolate SMORBARS
– 1 bag of marshmallows (10 count bag)
– 1 pack of 100% natural hardwood SMORSTIX (4)

If you would like to reserve a Bonfire Site for a day or time of day not listed on the calendar, please call us! Depending on seasonal availability, we can often be flexible.

Butler’s Orchard Policies

COVID 19
All visitors to Butler’s Orchard are required to wear a mask in the Farm Market, but are not required in outdoor spaces, as we are following Montgomery County requirements. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this unique time.

Cancellation Policy:
Full Refund: 30 days or more before your reservation
50% Refund: 14-29 days before your reservation
No Refund: less than 14 days prior to your reservation
We are happy to help you reschedule to avoid cancellation charges.

Weather Policy
Often, a rainy day will turn into a beautiful evening, so we encourage a wait and see approach.  Wagons, hay and wood are all kept dry and ready to go!  We will typically decide on the day of your reservation if Hayrides need to be cancelled due to weather.  You are able to reschedule or receive a full refund if your Hayride or Bonfire is cancelled on the day of your reservation due to weather.

Butler’s Orchard reserves the right to request any individual or entire group to leave the premises.  Circumstances may include: behaving in a non-family friendly manner, endangering the health and safety of the Orchard’s patrons or employees, interfering/infringing on the rights of others, or damaging the grounds, its facilities and/or furnishings.

Group Hosts are responsible to restore any damage, other than normal wear and tear expected from the Guests activities, which you or your group may cause to any Butler’s Orchard property.

It is the Group Host’s responsibility to ensure that your event site is cleaned and returned to its original condition.  Groups will be charged an additional flat fee of $250 if Butler’s Orchard needs to clean after an event.  This is separate from, and in addition to, the above damages clause.

A Butler’s Orchard employee will extinguish all fires at closing time (11:00 pm) unless extended time has been pre-arranged through the office.
